I love this site overall.
However, do you think we should add one more section into this site, which is OFFROAD SEGMENT. I am pretty confindence tell you that we do have a lot of offraod fans here. But they can not have the same level of satisfaction amont those SPEED FANS due to the lack of involvement. Thus , I suggest that how about to open a new OFFROAD section under the finalgear main category. ..IF you can take a careful consideration of my advice, your effort would be much appreciate.THanks for listening and sorry for bother you. :oops:
 
Alptlubo, I'm not so sure we need a specific off-road section. There isn't really even a sports car section, if you don't include motorsports. And to be honest, even off-road motorsports would be covered by this section. Any other off-road bits of interest can easily be placed into the General Automotive section along with the rest.

So I'm afraid I voted (and think) no, we don't need one...

Just my 2p...
 
Agree with monkeymax. If we don't have the section, it doesn't mean you can't discuss it. You can always make thread in general automotive. If it will prove itself popular then there will be a base to make new section. Right now I can't see any offroad discussions going on.
 
Plus, I'd just like to point out your choice of thread title isn't entirely great - something more along the lines of "New Off-Road Forum Section?" would've been far more appropriate and useful...
 
I vote also no. Not much off-road discussion going on. Every now and then some SUV, but no porper hardcore offroad threads, hence no need for offroad section. :)

We could use a "tuner"/"tuning" section though. (or whatever you wish to call it) :)

Usually it's me that posts most tuned stuff, but I believe there are quite a lot of other tuning fanatics as well. :D
 
I like off roading (especially baja, rock crawling, etc., and of course rally) but I don't think this forum really needs a whole section for it. There are other forums that are devoted entirely to this type of thing.
 
No. We don't need a section for that.. There's not enough interest. It can go in general automotive without any problems though.
 
agreed... there aren't many threads about off-roading here in the first place... unless the admins see a demand for it, there is no need for one :p... even if we start categorizing cars... I believe tuned cars would be the first to have a new section... because as you can see from automotive threads... there are alot of them

i say yes. I mean, we've got a sub-forum dedicated to Live For Speed.
However, i doubt that there would be a whole lot of threads popping up.
I agree with AndyHui01 about the tuned car subforum, there are many people more interested in tuning their car toward performance than offroading.
but what harm would it do to have an offroading subforum?
 
barboy... I honestly think we have enough sections as it is and I think many of us (especially the regulars) would like the forum as it is... it is even getting too big to alot of us.

and bartboy.... the reason why we had a sub-forum dedicated to LFS was because I think in the beginning of this year... there were about 3 threads popping up every week in the entertainment section about LFS, and also there are many weekly events which make it easier to organize if it was all in one section, therefore it was created. Unless the admins see that a high number of people are interested in offroading, it'll stick to the automotive section.
 
Bartboy9891 the LFS section has more posts than you think. Go compare it to other sections. ;)
 
Yeah, for the love of <insert your diety here> no more sub-forums. The ones we have are underutilized enough :p If there were demand enough for a subforum Viper or Ren would create it, but I haven't seen the overwhelming number of threads about offroading to justify their own sub forum. I am also going to be changing the name of this thread, because the admin's don't need to be told to read posts, so in the future name your thread with an actual subject, instead of a command.

well... I was ready to shoot him down as soon as I read the tittle...I didn't like the tone at all... who orders admins to read threads?
