I was thinking of finally upgrading my PC and have this problem with compatibility soI thought someone here might know this:

Plan on using Pentium 4 670
and Geil 6400 1Gb memory
Now I dont know which motherboard will work with this memory. I also need motherboard to have at least 6 Sata ports. Will use only 1 graphics card
Another question i how many watts does 1 SATA HDD needs and which PSU would you recommend that is quiet and looks good in windowed case?

Thanx :)

For the wattage problem try searching "PSU calculator" in Google, and you will get quite a few pages where you can calculate what wattage you need depending on the components your computer has. This one, for example :) According to it, the average consumption of a SATA disk is 25W. After this, you can go get your PSU. Zalman had a fanless PSU which looked great (all black, with blue glow coming from inside). Wasn't cheap, but it was as quiet as you could get and looked awesome :)

I don't know the compatibility with the RAM, but I would suggest looking at Intel motherboards with the 945 chipset (i'm not sure if its compatible with the 670, I know it is with the 830). I think you want to steer clear of anything with the 915 intel chipset, as people have had problems with those.
