atleast Ford created the GT otherwise i'd say this company would be useless.

stop creating retro and create something new!! the GT looks great and can kill a 360 Modena but its just a GT40 with new technology, OF COURSE IT WILL BE A GREAT CAR!!!

i'd love to see an american car company come up with a brand new car such as dodge did with the Viper 12yrs ago, but that can compete all around with euro cars.

sorry to turn this to an american car bashing thread, just dissapointed bout the ugly shit. :wink:
 
I don't mind the looks, but I disagree with the GT being Ford's only good aspect. I'm a fan of Ford trucks, specifically their heavy-duty diesels, which IMO are the best out their. I also am a fan of the Lightning - can't wait for the new one to come out. My GF's brother has his name on the list for it already...... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
 
It's too retro...Ford should begin building cars with passion again. Design it with the looks in mind, not aerodynamics or the so called Retro-style...
It looks agressive and shit, but it's too simple... :cry:
 
it looks ok from the front but the side profile is horrible, it gets too wide in the back.

but then i saw it in person at the autoshow and liked it. i guess seeing the pics make it look bad cuz every media pic i seen makes the car look ok or just plain boxy and ugly. :?
 
I think I saw a different design of it or something at the Chicago autoshow 2 years ago I think.
It looked a whole lot better then and looked a lot more like the model in Jostyrostelli's avatar (that's a GT350 or GT500 or something like that right?).
I thought that the car looked beautiful at the time, but they must have messed with it and totally screwed it up.
 
I've said it before a few times on the forum, but I absolutely love the look of the new Mustang. They definetly need to do something about the solid rear-axel so they can move away from nearly exclusively being tuned for the drag racing crowd, but the exterior design is amazing. I just hope they can pull off an interior (which I don't have high hopes for as this is Ford we're talking about :p ).

Ford trucks are by far the best on the market! Most North Americans are blinded by fan-boyism for either Ford or Chevy, but when you get right down to it, Fords are definetly superior. I've driven just about every model of Ford and Chevy through my past summer job, and the 2004 Ford F250 is still the nicest and toughest truck I've driven. :)
 
go to seriouswheels.com ppl and see the cheap, bland retro interrior.

the aluminum parts look cool, remind me of the shelby gt500, and the retro instruments look good but the rest of the interior looks bland.

and this side profile shows how ugly it looks as the rear ride height looks too high for some reason making it look like its braking even while its crusing.

i don't like mustangs, but for a mustang it looks good. but notice i said..."for a mustang"..not saying its the best looking car, but its better than any other mustang out there. i like the interior a lil, bit. though it is boxy, It looks alright. as for performance wise..i dont know the stats yet, but trust me . . .id never buy one.

only the front, after that it gets worse. they had a nice idea at the front but made it too long in the back and boxy.
