i know top gear has had albums like this before. but considering last nights episode i can only utter sell out. Before people start rioting for my view i know every show on earth has merchandise but considering this series's sellout theme... im not surprised.

i miss top gear from 2 seasons ago free and pure

"Free and pure"? Were you a Coldplay fan before they got big, too?

It's a prime-time show run by one of the biggest broadcasting corporations on earth. They're not exactly your favorite garage band fighting the Man and slaving away in their basement.

Oh, and I haven't heard of any of those songs in the tracklist in recent seasons, especially given their recent obsession with Elbow. Why they're so fixiated on a shitty band like The Killers is beyond me.

Aww, man. I remember their CD's used to have one disc that was mainstream 'dee-doo doo doo's, and the second was more edgy classic stuff like The Waterboys, Sniff N' The Tears, and The Stranglers. Good stuff.
But now? I mean, U2? Vertigo! COME ON. HOLY.

This is album 4, the other 3 ain't bad... trying to 'buy' this, it ain't out yet. ;)

Good to see Elbow and Ocean Colour Scene on there (two of my favorite songs from those artists, nonetheless). Most of the other stuff I could do without though.

I'm not sure why a TV series releasing its annual run of slightly dodgy merchandise for the Christmas season makes you sell out. Unless you're Bono, and you've finally realized that you've gone one quickie compilation too far.

there's 3??? All I have is a "Top Gear Driving songs" Double CD, that was, pretty average (and I'm being nice)

track list doesn't seem as bad, but as usual there are a bunch of stinkers on there too

can anyone give me a list of what's on CDs 2 and 3?

That's why I make and burn my own compilations for the CD changer. The problem with commercial ones is the rubbish that gets mixed in with the gems.

And with the price of blank CD's these days if you get bored just chuck it and burn a new one. It's a damn sight cheaper than paying to have an iPod connection fitted.

I like these albums. Better than your average NOW compilation, and you've got a guaranteed Oasis track per album!

Not a great fan of these albums tbh, but I'd rather give my money to the boys instead of Codpiece Cowell and any of his manufactured cr@p.

I've seen four albums until now...

Top Gear - Seriously Cool Driving Music
Top Gear - The Ultimate Driving Experience
Top Gear Anthems
Top Gear Anthems 2008 - Seriously Hot Driving Music

..and now this one...

Top Gear - Sub Zero Driving Anthems

...any torrents of it... cheers...

Forgot about that one.

well it's as I thought : some gems but a large collection of dog shite.
Why don't they just take all the gems from all 3 CD sets and make 1, properly good one?

Wow, Amy Crackhouse is on there twice!

Aston: nice job on posting the track listings for the other CDs. It's rather amusing seeing the infamous "Bat Out of Hell" on the first album, despite the constant Meat Loaf bashing throughout Series 6!

what's interesting is that if you combine ALL the tracks on ALL the CDs so far you may have enough for 1 CD thats actually worth buying
