No 56k: Newest Nardo Highspeed Showdown: 9 Winners, 1 Loser

This has turned out to be a major let down, though it's nice that the broken GT-R kept people from going into "zomgz GT-R iz best and for less moneyz coz iz best and Nissan iz best also Versa is good coz its part GT-R" fits.

Is it just me... or is one car not like the others. Primarily the Bentley.

Edit: Didn't see the CTS-V there. But still.

CTSV 0-300 time : 94 s :lmao:

Awesome test though, that first picture gave me a crisis!

I thought the loser would turn out to be the pillock driving the Mercedes.

Zing!

9 winners?

The GT40 had a strangely setup transmission I guess, it even needed to stay in fifth to reach topsspeed, it was ~10km/h slower in 6th gear.....power-wise the GT40 should eat the GT3..

At those speeds aerodynamic drag is a big deal. It increases exponentially with speed. Likely when they had to upshift it brought the revs down to a point where the engine no longer made enough horsepower to push through all that aerodynamic drag. This is where you'd tweak around with rear end gears a lot to get taht combination perfect to get to that maximum theoretical top speed where you have your max hp RPM right at the theoretical limit of the amount of drag it can endure.
