NFS: Most Wanted

When you beat Razor, there is a cutscene where he does not want to give you back the keys to the M3 GTR, so Mia beats the shit out of him. When the other blacklist racers go help him she shows a gun and the police arrives. She throws the key at you and tells you to run away. Cross arrives, get pissed because you escaped and orders every unit to go after you. Now you have to escape a level 6 pursuit. You must go around for 5 minutes until she tells you to jump the old bridge because that is the only way to evade. When you do, there's a cutscene of the M3 jumping a bridge and the Police Corvettes failing to follow. Then we have a screen with the Rockport Police System showing your stats and Cross putting your name as most wanted racer and marking in a "national level" thingie and that's it. :|
I think it lacked a few things:
Why did she help you?
What happens next?
And most important: Cross scratches your M3 GTR and you don't get revenge?
Most wanted had the most interesting story so far, they could add AT LEAST one more cutscene.
Whew! Huge post over! :)

Why did she help you?

Because she loved the way you got number one on the blacklist. At least, that's what i thought. It also could be that the guy/you is very handsome:p

What happens next?

I think you will see that in the next part of the game.

Considering what was already revealed about "NFS: Carbon", I don't think so...

Haha, ah, that's right, I remember now. :)

I know I'm two years late. But anyways, I was a little bit bored of Grid so I picked it up and played it. A few problems with the game, the cars' handling is so fake, I know NFS is supposed to be arcadey, but this is sooo fake. All cars are basically the same if you tune them to the max, a freaking Punto can almost match the performance of a fully tuned Corvette. Another problem I have with the game is the fake HDR (bloom?) effect, it's so bad that sometimes I can't even see the road. The last thing is the drag races, they need to put in an option so that I can turn off the steering assist, I can drive my own damn car.

Story wise it's not bad, the only problem is I don't care that much about the M3 GTR, at the end of the game my Corvette is better than the M3 in every way. I thought they would've made the M3 GTR's stats off the charts, or at least max out every category, but the handling is just about half of the bar.

I only played this, Carbon and ProStreet (well, and Porsche Unleash but that's on anther level), I think Carbon was the best out of these recent ones. I wish they would make the cars slightly more realistic. Test Drive Unlimited probably have the best balance between arcadey and realism in the cars' handling. Overall, I'd probably give this game a 6/10.

2 year bump FTL...

Well, I thought about making a new thread, but it's better to have all the discussions in one thread, so I rather just bump this thread.

Pics of my cars.

In my opinion, the Need for Speed series reached perfection with Underground 2, and has only gone downwards from there. I loved the free-roaming concept of NfSU2 and how the car physics had this perfect balance between arcade and realism. I also loved how the stock cars really felt stock and you could easily notice what difference the tuning did. The styling part was, as with all of these games, pretty damn tacky but it was still very possible to build tasteful cars. I wish EA would take a couple of steps back, ad their neat graphics, a bunch of cool cars and a new town to roam around in and just give us a damn Underground 3...

I don't wanna drive riced out econoboxes.

I'm with you there vanMould. I loved UG2. There was a little fella inside me going "bah i hate this driving around business, why can't i just warp to the race" but he was shut up by the engine noise. After they implemented just that in NFS Most Wanted, I got a little annoyed with it actually because it made the game boring and repetitive. I began treating it like UG2 again and it became a little more exciting albeit more annoying later on when the police were really on my case. "I just want to get to the sprint! Why can't I travel at 189 mph to get there? Come on now" :p

I played carbon and I thought it was alright. Didn't like drifts in it as much as in UG2. They were simpler in UG. I downloaded prostreet a few days ago and tried to play it but I uninstalled that thing in 15 minutes because the damn announcer was annoying, the cars were worthless piles of garbage, the roads were repetitive and the races were essentially the same thing.

I agree!!

As far as gameplay goes, I have to agree with you.

As far as car choice, I think they hit an all-time low.
I was gonna try and defend the game here, but you're both pretty damn right. They've got a bunch of japanese tuner classics right and the hatchbacks are kinda nifty, but there are a couple of kthxbai-cars and the SUV:s are just plain silly.

I agree that Underground 2 was awesome for all those reasons, though personally I liked Hot Pursuit 2 and Most Wanted more - all those police chases were endlessly entertaining to me.

EA claims the next NFS game "Undercover" is based on the Most Wanted formula - so here's to hoping they at least make something good after the disaster that was ProStreet.

ProStreet wasn't my favourite game, the car graphics look like they were taken from UG. But, the Drag mode was intresting thou!
