NFS U2

Wow, that was a very lazy post Ren! :p No link to where you can download it, and not even a full explination of NFS:U. :p

Anyways, yes it is Need for Speed Undertround 2. Apparently you can't modify your car in the demo though. I'm just going to wait for the full version to come out (November 15th).

What do people think of Need for Speed Underground. I thought the last one was really good. The missions started to get absolutely retarded near the end, but other than that I had a blast with it. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure though... I'm sure most people hate it. :p

I had an absolutely amazing lookig RX-7 in the last game. I lowered it, put nice big rims on it, painted it black and did all the engine mods. I just said screw it to the style points or whatever they were called and stayed away from the rice features altogether. 8)

I sort of had a side narrative going on in my head the whole time I was playing it too: I was a guy with a sleeper stock-looking car whose mission was to decimate all of the ricers on the track. It made the car a lot more fun. :D

I can't wait to get this new game, build up a sleeper RX-8 this time, and continue on my quest of destroying all the ricers!

Verdict: Sucky.

Really not a big improvement over NFS:U, and even more ricy... urgh!

The thing that really bothers me about the old NFSU is that ALL the tracks and races where AT NIGHT!! These drivers don't sleep? And all the tracks where almost the same, and yes, that "Pimp My Ride"-Fast And The Furious style, hahaha, sucks.

I hope that in this new version the tracks doesn't look the same; and give us some day light, PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Gah, GOD DAMN YOU EA! They make the BF series laggy as hell, kill the NFS series with rice...

Anyway, edited Ren's post.

*Sigh*

Whatever happened to the classic NFS?? I'm really sorry to see EA tarnish the NFS namesake with these games. The idea is OK, but I just wish they hadn't used the NFS name, they should have made it a different series. I've personally never played UG, but I'm getting a copy in the mail sometime, so I'll try it out. But I'm still wishing for them to make something like the original NFS, or NFS:HS. Those two are the best they made, IMO. What I wouldn't give to have for a beautiful NFS game that has the Pagani Zonda, Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carerra GT, Konigsegg CC, Mclaren-Mercedes SLR, Aston Martin DB9, the list is endless......

I really hope EA wakes up sometime and makes a real NFS.

^ Well, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 had the Porsche Carrera GT in it. It also had the Ferrari F50, McLaren F1 and the Mercedes CLK GTR, but thats as close as you're going to get to a new rendition of High Stakes.

I'm not all that concerned that they are using the Need for Speed name with the Underground series, but I would also like to see another High Stakes\Hot Pursuit 2 style game. The only problem is Underground sold like crazy. In about 6 months it sold 5 million units - that is practically unheard of for a racing game. If Underground 2 sells like the first Underground, I don't expect EA to even consider a Need for Speed title in another format. :(

Oh well, there is always Gran Turismo 4. :D

NFS has always been all over the map as far as the quality of it, I mean you'd try one version it's brilliant, then you try another and it's utter crap, so I'm not at all surprised they used the NFS name.

Personally, I'm still waiting for a game that's like Flight Simulator, but then for cars, meaning being able to drive to any city in the world and that sort of thing.

I've always seen the Need for Speed series as more arcade than simulation, so the fact that EA is making Underground doesn't bother me one bit. I think its a nice change from the usual exotic races. I still like the first one the best though, but sadly my comp cannot get that game to run at all.

Any game that lets you put huge-ass speaker systems in your car when the object is to race is ghey.

I loved the first underground, played it all the time on my gamecube.

The Full Game Contains:
