Some road going east from weaverville in northern call on my way to PCH, It was pretty fun till I hit traffic, those rv's were going so slow I had time to pull out my camera and play with slow shutter speeds.

I took a few pics of some back roads around here. They are not highways, just country roads. (One isn't really a road that you can travel unless you have a good 4x4. )

I knew it, I knew it, I KNEW IT! I knew I should have gotten a picture of the Los Angeles Crest Highway 2 when I was there in SoCal last week!

Oh, well, I was too busy driving it really fast in, um, a rental Focus. ( x2) But I DID see two brand spankin' new Viper SRT-10 Coupes!

Anyway, here's a random pic I grabbed off the Interweb of the highway. Sorry. ( x3)

What a magnificent stretch of two-lane paradise. Screw the beaches, I'll spend all day here instead!

nice little accident blackspot in sunderland. In other words it's the best road for driving. It's damn near the centre - 4-5 minutes drive from the centre, right in the suburbs. Proper country road, national limit and everything :D

only problems are that because it's an accident blackspot, concerned citizens with nowt else better to do that complain to the local paper want it closed. Charv's rule it by night in their saxos and.... er corsas. And the council, in their infinite wisdom had it resurfaced a couple years back... great! Cept now everytine it rains it's the world's worst road to drive on because the damn road is slippier than a banana in oil.

Also a bitch when there's a granny in a micra (fuckin thousands of micras in sunderland), who doesn't know what the national limit sign means so she potters about at 25 - just to be safe - and you're stuck behind her, because there's absolutely no place to pass and it's pretty short - about a kilometer but it's fun as hell

nowt special to look at though.

Lucas Valley road in Marin county. Great road, with loads of off-camber curves and sweeping bends. Also, there is a mini-stelvio pass section with switchbacks climbing into the mountains. Very close to where my dad gets his maranello serviced, so i go with him, we borrow a maser or fezza from the dealer for the day and run that road from Hwy 101 to hwy 1 (about a 25 minute drive at a decent pace) then flip a bitch and go back. We alternate turns and it is great fun.[/list]
