Yeah, Nightwish Rocks!

I don't usually buy CDs, but this one i just had to get. Their hole album is absolutely amazing, although it's kind a short.

BTW. How does that finnish song hits you?
 
the funny part is i came across nightwish from a counterstrike video i had downloaded....i have yet not seen a single nightwish album let alone buy one :shock:
 
My cousin told me about them. Although I haven't *bought* anything I still have their music :p

I'm not talking about it being girly. I mentioned the black nail polish because I really don't like that type of overly epic goth-pomp prog-rock shit.

It's not very creative music, and it reminds me of all the goth kids who sat in the corner all lunch hour years ago at my high school. :p

To each their own though - most people think my musical tastes are shit too. :p
 
What do you like? I like pretty much everything but classical, Rap/HipHop and hardcore stuff.
 
As far as girly music is concerned...the lead singer is a girl so .... nothing much against them.....and you could call their music generic but now there isnt a single new band that really stands out .

I like tonnes of stuff, but I don't base my musical tastes on genres.

A short list of some of my favourite groups: Pixies, Sunny Day Real Estate, Buck 65, BS2000, Fugazi, Atmosphere, Beatles, Frank Black and the Catholics, DJ Shadow, Flaming Lips, Beck, Eels... there are probably a tonne more I'm forgetting.

I have a collection of roughly 1500 albums... I'm an absolute music addict.

I think it would take a supercomputer to calculate the amount of utter ignorance there is in that statement.

All of the bands I listed are absolutely vital to the history of music (excluding a few like BS2000 that are more goofy than vital). All of the bands I listed would be known by anyone who knows anything about music. All of the bands I listed are not "just old crap".

Since when is a band like the Pixies "unkown" and "shitty" and Nightwish the opposite: 'known' and 'good'? I've never ran into someone in real life that have even heard of Nightwish, let alone think they are good.

Oh, and by the way, even though I'm not really into the whole ambient symphonic goth thing, Nightwish is an absolute rip off of Lacuna Coil.
 
Well, I listen to a lot of different music, and when I say a lot I reallly mean a lot. Some of it is underground and experimental, some of it is glossy overproduced pop.

Here's a sample of the albums I listened to last night:
