You know the drill ...

But let's start with all the challenges we had to overcome:

  1. Joe crashes his bike due to target fixation. [but we think he was just driving too fast]
  2. The disco failed before the roadtrip even started.
  3. Joe got sick and needed to be brought to the hospital at 4AM.
  4. The fiesta got rear ended.
  5. The 205 was hungry for a bike.
  6. Joe's gearbox shat itself.
  7. Joe's bike falls over in front of the AA guy.
  8. The daimler got pulled over due to insurance issues.
  9. Dennis' E39 tapped Arron's MX-5 ass.
  10. The daimlers tyre sprung a leak.
  11. Adrian in constant need of 3 more octane.
  12. The rover lost a brake pad.
  13. The 205 has a fuel leak.
  14. Adrian has a fracas at a tesco extra and calls the cops. (the guy gets charged with assault)
  15. Joe gets a vauxhall insignia in the rental roulette.
  16. Peter.be triumph rear brakes dissapeared.
  17. My beemer went for a nap in a corner.
  18. Joe's rental gets 2 flats while kissing some rocks.
  19. The insignia keys are not with the car when AA arrives.
  20. The AA leaves because the keys are not there.
  21. Dennis' E39's clutch fails. (in front of a pub)
  22. The cassette player in the daimler broke down with a tape from Eric Clapton in it. (and suddenly it came back to life)
  23. Peter.uk's audi also released some air from a tyre.
  24. The daimler has a brake fluid leak.
  25. Adrian reverses into a church wall.
  26. The E39 got towed 3 hours too late, and into the wrong direction away from the campsite.
  27. The daimler got pushed (!) into the MX-5
  28. Dennis gets a focus estate in the rental roulette.
  29. The is no casette player in the rental seat from the fins.
  30. Mikko's bike also fell asleep.
  31. The 8's tyre also kissed a rock and lost it's breath.
  32. Dennis choses a hyundai i30 instead of a cactus as a rental.

These are basically just the taglines. More explanation will be given by the victims in other posts. If photo's are made and posted, i will link to them.

The actual car failures and crashes are in bold. The wins are between braces. And the random and people stuff is also mentioned in between.
All in chronological order. (a google map with markers will be made later)

This is the fucker that got me, others hit it as well it seems during discussions, but I hit it right on the sidewall... Fail.




The repair truck turned up, we didn't have the keys for the car so they left - Arron delivered the keys and we got the truck back to repair the tires, this was one of the tires:




On the way to the next stop, the front left tire on the Audi decided not to hold air any more:




Fixed!




All 3 rentals lined up, left for Daimler - Middle = me, right for Dennis's 5er that ate a clutch.




Bently dealer next to the factory... This was my favourite thing there!

These were the "The rental car place for Dennis's rental car is closed, fuck it, beer time!" while on the way to DaHitch's mums place (That was so awesome and the fries were epic and the food was fantastic! Send my regards again!)

Had to swap the stock headunit for a ?1 Sony that public ordered, because the original was sadly broken. Any excuse to use branded tools :)


Despite AA guy's best efforts, Keely was left behind with Matt.


I think Antti was somewhat unconvinced by Daimler's paintwork at first. Driving it won him over the car ;)
