No audio on 720p mkv's

Try playing them in VLC and see if that works. If it does, your regular player is missing an audio codec or other required module. If it doesn't, something more serious is wrong (broken file? no sound at all on the entire pc?).

Have you just installed coreavc? - It doesn't have an audio codec...
Have you installed ffdshow? - Might have unticked a box or the installer was faulty -> reinstall it, or get ac3filter

I use cccp + corevlc. Works like a charm. CCCP comes with ffdshow for decoding almost any video and audio codecs, but its AVC (x264) decoding isn't as good as coreavc's.

I am having kind of the same problem here with mit NetworkMediaTank. Its a Novatron NT37HD. When trying to play a TopGear HD file, it sounds like it rushes through all the audio in 5 seconds, after that there's just silence. Video plays fine though.
First time it does that, haven't had any problems at all playing back *.mkv container or just about any other HD content before.

^ Weird. Have you tried remuxing the audio and video? Just run it through mkvmerge or something.
I recently read, that some sceners use old versions of mkvmerge which causes some incompatibility...
BTW: Did you get the wheel ok?

Yeah that might solve it, havent tried remuxing, just watched it on the computer.
Wheel has arrived just fine, wish I had more time to use it properly

Everytime I would have had time, people were around to finally testing the thing... Well, during their tests I drank beer so all was fine in the end...
Any I set some bad time in the stock R8v10 with full manual without any practice in a single lap and dared them to come within 2 seconds of me on the short mugello. One made it. The lap counter read 37...
Good times, though.

mhm tried remuxing the files, didn't help... guess i than have to watch them on the xbox, no biggie
