Considering what happened in London, it may be a little premature to say this had to happen or could have been avoided. However, if the facts remain the same, there is little an air marshall could have done to determine the mindset of the person involved. Obviously I wish this sort of tragedy could have been avoided. Once someone crosses that threshold and says they have a bomb, you can't really take any chances. However, if the wife notified them before shooting that her husband had some problems....I really think that could have been taken into consideration before firing those lethal shots.

his own fault!

what a moron you have to be to yell on an airplane you have a bomb in your lugage

but i would've shot both his knees in pieces though

I wouldn't really blame the marshalls... If someone yells they have a bomb then I really want them to be stopped. I do think that killing is going too far, maybe some tazer guns or other paralyzing guns should be available?

Shooting the knees doesn't really do it, had he really had a bomb he could have easily set it off at that point.

But yeah, the marshals did as they were trained to do. I just think that other methods should be made available...
