OK my and my friend were thinking of doing the famous Nordschliefe circuit, inspired by Top Gear we wanted to get some on board footage but it seems reading up on it that this is not possible. I was wondering is there any hope of writing to the people behind the nurembering to allow us to film with in board cameras?

As long as you are not a broadcasting company, I'd say you got bad cards...

I can't honestly understand why they wouldn't allow it even with written permission etc...

How can they stop you? I assume they have people watching etc..., but surely you could hide it....

i've seena number of private videos around the ring
i'd imagine that as long as the video equipment is properly secured
it'd be ok

unless they want to avoid the videos ccuz they know ppl might
try to show off or go extra fast?

If the video recording equipment is throughlly secured, and say I won't release it to other media sources, surely that'll be ok?

no, they just banned it and they'll check for video equipment and stuff, if they find it they'll ban you from the ring.

You could have a passenger holding a camcorder. :bangin:

Doesn't the banning apply to that also? And wouldn't that be worse that putting fixed cameras on board?

The banning applies to all types of video recording devices. Whether it's a little cam in the bumper, a cam fixed to your rollcage, a passenger holding a cam etc etc. That's because many accidents are caused due to ppl wanting to show off on their film and there for driving beyond their or the cars capabilities.

What is the Nurembering? Nuremberg is a city...

Yeah, 390,5 km apart http://img343.imageshack.**/img343/4396/nurnurem1ix.th.jpg

I just didn't want him to end up in Nuremberg instead of the 'ring. :D
