This takes me back, Alley Cat was one of the first games I ever played on a PC :) The two other games were Donkey Kong and World Tour Golf.

Damn I feel old! All of those three games are over 20 years old  And Donkey Kong tops at a respectable 25 years of age...just one year younger than me :p

And boy, that Commander Keen series was loads of fun, we even used to play them at school

Nintendo.
I still have it in it's box, with 3broken controllers and one fully functional. :)
First game on PC? Lemmings. I allso remember when MicroMachines was the shit. Quake 1 was cool... ugh. :(
I allso had a Commodore64. Games on casettes... hmm that's something the 90's kids can never believe. I had a book for it that had long LONG lines of code in it. Type them, write "run" at the end and hit Run-key and afreaking game would start Wohoah... cool. Ofcourse you had to spend an entire day typing the code in but still. :)

Time flies...

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door.
There is a small mailbox here.

I remember playing that one too!!!! In my first computer with those giant floppy disks! I remember the day the computer blew up (literally) when I tried to install The Prince of Persia on it :p

How many of you remember or even heard of this game/Grand Prix Legends physics testbed?

This may have been the game that help spark my love of racing simulators. Ah, all that time spent in the track editor. Ah, memories. If you come across a copy, I recommend you pick one up. Actually, I've just reinstalled it on my computer...

Another classic.

I miss the days when shareware/demos contained hours of content.

I miss the days when games actually came with decent manuals, instead of the leaflets they give you now that just cover the basics.

If that, now it usually is some half-as'ed pdf on the disc.

There is this one RPG I'm trying to remember the name of. All that I remember is that you started in a junkyard, and when you put the ladder in your pocket, it said ouch. Anybody have any clue what I'm on about? I played it on my 486.

Which reminds me of the old SSI Goldbox series

It figures this thread would come along right after I go through, and then store away a bunch of my toys from yesteryear. Guess I have to drag them back out now.

teletubby-warrior - You sir, have just posted my entire childhood.
