were u thinking sth like d1, so say 2-3corners, and having a few people spectating-judging?

needless to say i love drifting, my avatar and signiture speak for themselvs :mrgreen:
 
Well
First there would be different locations:

First we could make a drift circuit on the autocross - then there are the first corner an the corner after the long straight on bw, and fernbay also has some nice places as well as the city... But autocross would be the best solution.

I think everyone should judge, one guy is racing and the others put their cars around the corner. Everyone should make a list of the drivers with points and finally we collect the results in a thread.

I actually though about it too couple of week ago. About one drifting and others watching and judging. But it could be a little boring, too much waiting. Maybe only if we make some short auto-x track..
 
autocross would kill the demo users... :(

imo every corner of bw can be used, the one after the straight + the combination after it, then the right one & the last one before the finish, then the 1st corner & shicakane as well are all good combinations, and of course all these in both directions

how about deciding on the pair of corners we wanna use, and then directly racing in pairs against each other?

we're about 12 people, that makes 6 double runs, each battle twice, 6x2 = 12 runs, then 6ppl remain, 3x2=6 runs again, 3ppl remain and here everyone against the other for the final positions
damn that sound complicated :lol: does anyone get what im tryin to say? :mrgreen:
 
I thougt about double runs too - but I think several people would kick out the others...
Another problem is, that there isn't really a nice double corner on blackwood for drifting...

yeah, thats true bw is a bit tight for "safe" double runs :)
but it is possible though, i used to drift a lot with mancs and fblacka(=gti) on bw, we even manage to pull together triple drifts from time to time ;)
but imo bw is ok for 2 people drifts
 
we usually make kinda a circle, from the pit backwards to the straight, turn back, circle around the pit etc

thats of course too much for a competition, but as i said, any corner can make it
i'll c if i can get mancs to drift a few rounds with me and save the replay (he kinda knows my moves :) )
 
Could you guys send some of us the drift setups?? Like me for example.
 
yeah, autocross would be clearly the best way to go

if non of the demo users is against it, then we could do that... :)

its kb optimized,(lots of understeer at low speed) and suits my style, dunno if u'll like it... :dunno:
 
Sounds great people!

Why don't you have the problem with the Turbo that the engine kills when you go too sideways?

I see mancs, gti and pdanev drifting like hell with those turbos and when I try, I slow down like an elephant with every drift.
