I could host a drift competition if it becomes an event.
Blackwood GP reversed, go till the corner going into the straight, pit, do it over again . That way you can get all the fun drifting corners and have a replenishable tire source . That is how I've seen drifting done on other servers. Plus, if there are judges, they could watch multiple cars at once, because it's a small course...
Maybe this saturday (I'll be there) we can do it after the race if people are up for it.
only one problem with the drift though, who will be judging, and how do you look at the both cars from such a camaraview that you see accuratley both cars at the same time? i havent been able to figure that ouy
if you look at real life drift competitions, usually its 2-3corners and the judges are located in a place where they have full sight of both cars in these corners.
i think the route you suggested is nice, though maybe a bit too long. if the person going at the back gets left behind on the first corner backwards, there's no way he can cath up... so maybe we can make it from where the big tire above the track is - also where you get your 2nd split time on bw non reversed, and 1st split on bw rev. so from there, then comes the S curve thing, little straigh, and left corner leading onto the straight. thats long enough, and the car infront in double runs wont be able to pull away so much as to make the fight boring.
we still need judges though, so who's willing to be judge? (we need at least 2 people for that task)
obviously they gotta be familiar with drifting, and hopefully with d1 as well
