Official photos, the new Lancia Delta

Pictures of the new Delta has finally been released, I think it looks quite good, but I just wish they called it something else. For me the real Lancia Delta will forever be the first generation, period.

Anyways here they are, engines will be from 120-200hp, all euro 5.

and I was bitching about how the new Impreza looks, good Lord...
 
Steering wheel looks like the new Civic's. The only thing about the car i like.
 
they should use a bigger hazard light switch, its the button you will need the most ;)
 
after the Integrale how am i supposed to like a new delta seriously i am always exceited like "YAY new delta" and then i see it and think... DAMNIT WTF
 
Maybe taking styling cues from Ssangyong wasn't the best idea after all.
 
If they make an integrale version with 300hp and all wheel drive, then I think I might be able to look past the styling.
 
Wow, that looks terrible, especially compared to that gorgeous little box that is the first gen cars. You know for a second there, I thought it was a Buick :lol:.

That's quite a nice render actually, I hope someone at Lancia sees it. Indisputably modern while still paying heed to the first generation cars.
 
Look at the place where the roof meets the D-pillar. That can't possibly be good for structural rigidity.

See all the black there? That's the actual D-Pillar. The sheetmetal on the outside is pure styling.
 
Why did they do this? It's awful..

Deltas were just FWD family cars, they were made into rally machines (the AWD HF and Integrales)

The second generation Delta was just a family car:
