I like it, looks a lot more upscale compared to the current one.

as a diehard benz fan i have to say im not greatly impressed. its better than the older one which looked "soft" and short but it now looks a bit cheap.

it does resemble cheaper SUVs. :|

I see Chevy Equinox from the side...am I alone in this?

Anybody sees a Kia Sorento in it?

I saw a but of it when someone else posted the new M-class yesterday but they didn't have more pics so I didn't make a comment abt it

i.. being a huge diehard benz fan love this.. and since i already own an ML.. i would def consider this as a next car.. but i am waiting 1) for a few years to pass for mercedes to take care of the kinks in this new ML (never buy a first year benz) and 2) i wanna see what they are gonna do with the next C coupe

is the circular air-vents going to be the next mercedes styline feature... they should have kept the same feature as the new E-class... looks much better... they should just leave this for the 2 door mercs

err.... it will be bashed by TG...
I mean, the car doesn't look bad, but also not attractive at all. It also looks cheap for some reasons. Kind of reminds me Toyota's 4 runner or something...maybe all SUVs look the same, excpet the FX:

Which is still the best looking SUV, I think.

The best looking SUV has to be a Range Rover... looks good, comfortable, good at offroading and has a kind of "bling" look to it :D

SUVs which have no offroad capability and are made for simply driving about town piss me off. i.e. the X3 or X5... whichever it was that JC testdrove and it sucked. If you need the space why not get a van? Smaller, more fuel efficient and more practical around town.

I mention this cause I really wanna know how capable (or how willing somebody is) this new Benz "SUV" is offroad. WhereTF are ya, Clarkson? :D

one of the best cars I sat going offroad is the Mitsubishi Storm... its one of those pickup trucks and it ended up towing half of the cars up a slope when I went offroading :D

. And yes, TG will tear it to pieces  My boss used to have an ML55. He got rid of it when he had brake problems for the third time within a year of getting it. Like someone said, never buy a "first" from Mercedes - first let them find out all of its problems and then buy one once they've fixed it.

Those gauges are horrible. Actually gives me a headache to look at them. Overall though, I do like the look of this car. Which is a big surprise to me, as usually I really don't find off-roaders attractive.

you dont like the guages? i love them.. i think thats the coolest part of the car lol

I love mercs and i love this car, though i'll prob not buy it (its not like a 15 yr kid has spare 50,000 bucks around)

I think its a lot better then the old ML...ithis new one is wonderful
