Does Eurosport show the WRC live ?

Yup, I think Eurosport has pretty much dropped WRC now that they have their own series (IRC) to work with.

And in any case, I doubt there will be much live broadcasting from WRC events in the near future. Maybe a super special here and there but that's about it. The reason is that WRC's promoter (ISC) only produces the daily highlights programmes from each event and that's about all that the TV channels can broadcast.

Found a short video of Kimi testing his Citroen in Central Finland.

lol, love the sound of the limiter kicking in when the car was airborne.

Happy Kimi Happy! :)

I feel kinda weird thinking 'awwwww' over a happy smiling picture of a grown man before but....awwww!
BTW the C4 looks really good in that mostly dark blue livery, much better than the usual senior team one. I think it's the grey bit balancing the other colours out.

Hell to the yeah! Go Kimi!

This just in! World's Strongest Man Magnus Samuelson will be competing in Rally Sweden on February 11th in a Group-N Subaru Impreza WRX STi WRC2008.

^He won't be needing any spectators to help him if he gets stuck.. :p

Edit. Also, now with the S2000 rules, are diesels allowed in rallying? I sure hope not..

Oh well, Kimi's first rally with the Citroen didn't start that well at Artic Lapland rally they were running for test. He apparently put it the ditch and got stuck in the snow at stage 2 being 5 seconds behind leading Sordo. Race over.

edit.

He finished 30 minutes behind the stage winner with a damaged car, will continue the rally.

Apparently Kimi's brother Rami Raikkonen also got into an accident during the same rally. Rolled his car 3 times and then said:

"It was Kimi's note from last year, left 6. It wasn't left 6. It was a pretty optimistically put left 6," Rami said.

"Kimi can blame himself for the car's condition," he joked.

Rami R?ikk?nen's Fiat car rolled over three times.

"I had a speed of 172 km/h," Rami said.

The window from the driver's side was broken and Rami got a cut in his nose. He had to drive a long way without his window in -15 degrees.

"100km without a window," Rami said.

Does the car have bad karma when Kimi drove out the same way in Jysk?l??

"Well, let's see how it goes tomorrow," Rami grinned.

Ok so Kimi's first foray into WRC rallying didn't seem to go so well but my god he was fast. On the first stage he was only 5.5secs behind Sordo. Apparently the average gap after they put him back on the road was about .8 of a second per kilometre. On the one hand thats a lifetime (means he will be about 5 minutes behind over a WRC event), but on the other hand thats very close to full WRC pace in his first event.

Impressive debut, so goddamn excited for the season to start.
