Don't forget the proof pic should now be you flipping off the camera with your screen name on the middle digit!

really like these cars, and i like that they piled on the extras like heated mirrors, screen and xenons to keep the car up with the newer cars....afterall the mark 1 focus was such a good car, it didnt really need massively updating.

whats that 2.0 liter engine like? bout 170bhp? whats it like to drive....im curious because i was always a bit wary that, like the fiesta ST, this car might not be as fast as i thought. ive ridden in the fiesta ST which has 150bhp 2.0liter and its quick, but it never feels fast, the engine is just a little lazy. whats it like with an extra 20hp?

if i take a PhD this december, i can rid myself of diesel skodery-ness and get something fun. focus ST 170 is on the list, as is alfa GTV and a heavily used RX8 hahaha! im asking for it.

Well, the punch when accelerating is quite mediocre, but coming from mondeo 1.8 115hp it does have very pleasent surge when gathering speed. Havent driven a fiesta st, but it is a lighter car and measely 20hp less. It should perform quite similar to this.

Congrats on getting a ST-170, I have the US version (SVT Focus) and I love it. I'd love to see some interior pics.

btw, perfect colour.... easily one of the best ford do. i see too many silver ones these days.

Congrats, nice car. Almost bought one of those a coule of times allready (but havent)... I haven't driven one of those, but I have driven a Fiesta ST and I couldn't stop smiling when I was driving it... It was proper fun little car.

I have owned (2) mark 1 Focuses myself, and know it to be a bloody good hatchback even in standard form.

That blue looks brilliant. Great car! :)

small update, got myself a 16" 9-spoke fiesta st set for winter, new winter tires (see first post for a pic) and a freaking rock in on my windshield. 10cm wide crack on my passanger side.

Tire change also went smoothly, locking nuts on the summer wheels and the key in Germany. Great.. wont post details how to get them off without the right key but finally i managed to get them off.

Shall see if i can stop the crack from spreading more because this heated quickclear windshield etc isnt the cheapest one to replace..

added a proof pic and winter look picture... dirrrty but wont clean it before weather is under 0c. driving in slush makes cleaning somewhat pointless.

Little known fact that the calibration for the ST170 was done by Cosworth...

some updates.. car has been working just fine even though it has been -25 celsius days in here.. 8 hours at work, no preheat.. starts just fine etc.
Have been soldering some "adapters" etc for the factory installed amp and subwoofer to work with regular rca-output my clarion has. I bought a new hu because factory installed 9006 6-disc changer unit doesnt want to read cd:s anymore. also it ate my cds. Some disassembly and brute force gave those cds back. That'll teach that HU some respect.
