I installed some old games I had like:

The Curse of Monkey Island 3
-That's really a must-have, I played it several times now and it still gets me laughing, the music is good, it has very good characters and lots of fun stuff.

Wolfenstein 3D
-That was a long time ago I played that, but it wasn't that bad actually.

Need For Speed 1
- You should play it! I was surprised that it had a pretty good handling.
It's real old skool and good fun. Try NFS 2 SE too.

Check out this link for 80s games.

Thanks, thats sweet! You should ad Elastomania, allthough its newer it kicks ass.
That game is so addictive. My highschool had all laptops, and you could just see everyone playing it during classes.

Curse of Monkey island is great  .
If you like those, you'll also like the "Space Quest" series and, if you know a little bit about American history, "Day of the Tentacle'.
I still play NFS at times, but I can't play it with a steering wheel anymore because it requires and old style gameport steering wheel :? .

Space Quest and Day of the Tentacle are REALLY old skool
I only played Curse of Monkey Island 3 though, never played one and two, is it worth the search??

I played it, but the controls were really weird, it goes tilting from one side to another, I could'n't get the motor right...i played it for 20secs, the one on www.miniclips.com is better

Mortal Kombat on the computer was neat, wolf3d too.

And a special mention goes to the ultima series, specialy ultima 7 and ultima underworld. Great fun played them for hours but could never really understand what they were about. I just went around exploreing :)

I should dig them up somewhere.

I thought the same when I first played it too Josty - don't worry, you get used to it - it's more of a puzzle game that a realistic sim like Trials Pro. Stick with it, it's really damned addictive! lol

I'm still addicted to Space Cadet Pinball

Other small games I like are Pocket Tanks and MagicBall, and to combine the two, does anyone remember Magic Pockets? Awesome little game I had on my Amiga :D I used to love Scorched Tanks for the Amiga and Battle Chess naturally :)

Donkey Kong on my Super Nintendo!

Wing Commander Prophecy on the PC was great. Those were the days when cut scenes were actually filmed with real actors.

Anyway how can you guys forget Street Fighter? It was, to me at least, the whole point of going to arcades.

If you truly love classic video games, check out this site: http://www.abandonia.com!

It's an archive of hundreds of Abandonware games. Basically, abandonware games are old video games that are no longer sold or supported by their copyrighter - they can freely be put up on the internet and downloaded completely free of charge! :D Abandonia has all of my favourite classic computer games - Lemmings, Cannon Fodder, Day of the Tentacle, Stunts...

I'm a complete classic game addict so I'm constantly on that site. Besides all the classic PC games I play, my NES and SNES still get as much use as my PS2.
