Russian spacecraft are famous for being able to launch, orbit and land on fully autonomous control. The Buran space shuttle imitation (which only flew twice) is no exeception, landing itself after a mission.
Perhaps this should explain why Russian superbike riders are able to go on "precision maneuvering mode" to avoid hitting car mirrors.. if not the cars themselves. Or maybe, like the Buran space shuttle, the bike is on autonomous navigation mode.

Also in Russia, and only Soviet Russia, would military engineers watch airships flying in anime...
And make one for themselves. With a brace of giant missiles to get rid of aircraft carriers in one's path, if you will.
