Yeah, they're great. I've used them on my previous A4 (2x2 H7), my mum's Civic (2x H4), my A6's high beams, and you can really see the difference. My petrolhead friends also use them.
For a better comparison, change one bulb and try them out, on a wall or even for a drive. In comparison with xenon, they're still yellowish, but when compared with a regular bulb they're much whiter.

I payed around ?20 for a pair, iirc.

Oh good. I'll buy a pack of them. ?18. It should improve the H4 lights on my Micra (dont laugh, it's my first car :D )

Thanks

Nah, thanks for that, but this is next day delivery, with a free pack of phillips sidelights worth ?9.99

Thanks bihus.

P.S What Audi do you drive at the moment? I like audi's. :)

Oh, the white-blueish ones, that are only orange when lit?

I drive an A6 2.5 TDI (150 ps).
It's a very good car, but not for me. Too heavy for the b-roads. And our roads are even worst that the british ones. Oh, and it drinks quite a lot. Specially if you push it like I do.

My dad has the phillips sidelighs, their whiter than normal sidelights. But there are 3 versions of phillips sidelights.

Nice car, yeah I know what you mean, down here in west Wales our b-roads are quite bumpy narrow and not the best surface. Dunno if it's the same where you are. My dads 53 plate Primera is heavy, and it isnt as good as the older models on these b-roads. So your Audi is more of a motorway car then?

Yeah, it suits motorways best. It's engine is powerful (I've already reached an indicated 240kph) but it takes its time. And in the corners you can really feel its weight. In fast corners I can take advantage of the extra stability, but in slower corners tyres are overwhelmed by the weight.

Oh, you live in west Wales? :) Near Betws-y-Coed? or south of that? I've read wonders of those roads, but you have to have a car that fits well there.

I live about 100 miles south from betws, but it's the same kind of roads. My Micra is like a boat around here if i'm pushing it due to lateness to Uni.

What tyres you got on your A6?, my dad just brought 4 16" Goodyear Eagle F1 D3 tyres, and it made a huge difference in cornering, now the primera corners like a go kart. And they look good as well, quite a few people down here stopping and having a look :D . Juts shows what kind of people are down here. You park a Skyline or Veyron outside, and they would think it's some cheap tat  .

Oooo nice tyres . Had a couple of pairs on the rear of my MR2, but they only lasted <10,000km  .

^ Nah, nothing to do with the throttle (it's only got 88kw), all down to it being mid-engined (rears wear faster) and me driving it, errr, the way it was meant to be driven :D

You can also look at hoen-usa.com They seem to have some nice bulbs :)
I'm think about getting the Xenrange...

Is the Osram Silverstar the same as the Sylvania Silverstar?

I have the Sylvania Silverstars on my car and they are working very well with my 35 year old wiring. I need to get independent relays soon . . .

The Silverstars are supposed to be the brightest non-HID, DOT-legal headlight option.

i had the Sylvania Silverstars in my old car and they were cool and all but not really worth it imo. its kinda ricy to make it look like you have hid on a shitty econobox(my old car)

Who cares if it looks like you tried to give your old econobox the HID look. It's your safety at night that matters. If I had a choice of having an old crappy nova with Xenon or stock halogen bulbs, i would have the xenon.

The Silverstars actually don't have that neon blue color that other cheap bulbs have.
They are white with a yellow hue.
