Many cars, mostly very vroomy
Saw this as I was running errands yesterday. I'm not sure what it was, I don't know cars of this age well enough to recognize the body without the rest of the car on it! And, driving, I couldn't get many photos. Still, it was neat to see the shiny, clean body on its way back to (presumably) the rest of the car.

The Opel GT never had a rear lid, the trailing edge is a continuous line the whole width of the body. Corvette C3s always had a clearly defined ridge on the rear wheel arches and a pretty square trailing edge while they never had a cutout for a rear lid as well so that's not it either.

I think it's a kitcar body.

Well, then the billboard in the photo suits it.

This was in the parking lot. Silverado 3500 HD Diesel for scale. The hood reached my shoulder and the tires were to my hip.

1976 or 1977 Buick Century Coupé (the badge on the front fender reads "Century" so it's not a Regal)

View attachment 3568545

Regal was a higher level trim until the Century name was dropped altogether midway through the 76 model year. That appears to be an early 76 model year.

There was also Special, Custom, and Grand Sport variants at various points in that body era.

A borderline case today:
Yes, Walter Röhrl did use a Audi V8 on the DTM in the early 1990's and the livery on this (let's call it hommage) is nicely done. However the stupid spoiler that the original(s) never had and the fact that the car isn't the same model age, makes it carbage. - But I post it in this thread regardless because just from the sound you could tell that this was a genuine 4.2 V8. - Without any form of silencer! - It's was loud! And it sounded incredible!! - But man, that spoiler, take it off!

Nice, that's a W110, very similar to the W111, but the W111 never had single round headlights. Instead it always integrated multiple headlights into one housing.
