Maybe he bought the SL rims, as winter wheels. You can coat them with a protective layer of something (can't remember), so the salt dosen't harm them.

You cant tell is CLS55 or CLS63 AMG......from the back.

It could be neither. A lot of people with regular MB models put AMG badging and kit on them. The CLS in particular seems to be a common car to try and make into an AMG wannabe.
