I guess because the US diplomatic corps does not buy locally, but wholesale-buys Chevys and distributes them from the US.

Almost certainly the reason, so as to avoid "diplomatic offence" to any other countries.

Saw this one 2 weeks ago:



Today i first saw this granada, which looked better than it was. No rust, but underbody is just splattered with underbody protection everywhere over everything. Including mud and suspesnion components with surface rust. No idea what engine it had.



Then saw this lovely old pug 201 cabrio. No idea which vintage

Yesterday on the way to a customer: the most powerful non-AMG version of the E-class, the E500 4Matic (408 hp)

I wonder how much they actually sell of that version. It?s so close to the E400 performance-wise and the AMG, it?s hard to see anyone going for the E500 instead one of those. How many people go "yes, I want a turbocharged V8 instead a turbo V6 - BUT don?t make it too powerful!".

A local collage was putting on an SAE Dune Buggy race the following day. One of the other schools rented it to haul theirs down. The guy was from Pennsylvania.
