Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

I saw this Ferrari 328 GTB - would never have imagined I'd see one of those in Denmark. Such a beauty!

And guess what I also spotted?

Sorry but what are we looking at on that Corolla? Is that numberplate special?

Ah. Now I see it. I just don't identify that stuff in usual world pics. Only in the seperate world where I am now. At my computer.

Today I saw:

Porsche 911 Targa
Nissan 350z
Chrysler Crossfire Convertible
Honda S2000
Golf GTi

Unfortunately I didn't have my phone on me, but I saw an AC Schnitzer M5. It was Awesome! Those exhausts are, different.

Looked just like this, except in black:

i went to see a local rally this weekend, caus a friend was participating in my boss' manta A. he blew the engine though (kept it at the same rpm for to long). so he called my boss (who was also participating) to bring the bad news. and to everyone amazement, he answered his phone directly

it's an e36 320i shell on supporting roll cage with e46 engine, drivetrain, suspension, ..everything

the engine  (400 bhp)

the bend. there was oil in the corner (which made him crash? - 10 cars before him didn't), and after the crash they threw cement on it
Afb020.jpg

the left front wheel went a bit off road, he though he would make it, but it slid completely in the ditch
Afb021.jpg

the middle grass is still standing up, so the car flipped on it's nose, before crashing on its side

where the wheel came down on the road again

driver broke a rib, copilot bit his tongue :)lol:)

although there is a twist in the transmission tunnel (how???), the car will probably be repairable. it's rally after all, alignment isn't as important as track racing

while taking the car apart today, we noticed the cone on the ball joints for the front wheels are to small, there's some play in them - maybe time to have a word with the company who set the car up...

Some recent sightings of mine (all from cameraphone) :

Today, on the motorway home, a car trailer of the new Mondeo - which looks rather smart in real life. That's a Focus on the top, but a new Mondeo on the bottom.

edit - arses! Beaten to this by Donington.

Maserati Coupe (with boomerang rear lights, mmmm) that is, clich?dly, owned by a hairdresser nearby :

I think this is either an old Porsche (a 356?) or a replica. Judging by the sound it made as it blatted past I'd say original, but I'm not entirely sure.

Phantom that lives in town. Great-looking car.

And guess what someone nearby has bought (and keeps driving to my local...)

How the hell can hairdressers afford maserattis? it's one of the lowest paying jobs!

The Maser-owner is the hairdressing place owner.

And whilst I'd agree, at the barbers I go where I pay ?5.50 for a chop, you'd be a pretty low-paying job, but women hairdressers where they charge up to a silly amount for colours, styling and all the rest...I'm not surprised they can afford a coupe (albeit one that's 4 to 7 years old now).

Some hair salons here charge a fortune for a haircut.......like (all in CAD) $50 for haircut, $80 for hair coloring, another $30 for treatment. I'm pretty sure some hair salons in the UK (probably more like London though) charge even more!! Hairdressers can own anything they like, from huge homes to Italian exotics. Maserati's are considered inexpensive.
