I think so... :p

Oh, and :lmao: @ "Oversteer is when the passenger is scared, Understeer is when the driver is scared."

I will, I will :bangin:

And:

Nice work dude. Its coming along even if it is a bit slow. Thats how you gotta take it.

he has plenty of cars to drive (his fathers, his mothers, his grannys, his second one - although that doesn't run either no more)
so there realy wasn't a hurry, and if you would do sth like this fast, you're fed up with it within a week. will be glad when it's finished though (although plenty of project still laying around, won't be bored)

and actually we didn't take that long. i have 9 folders with pics, so there sure won't have been more than 14 days of work into the car, which is nothing for a few guys with nadda experience and hardly any tools

oh, and some inspection in the engine compartment showed maybe it's best to replace his throttle cable

Attach a string there, and accelerate from the driver's seat, through the window.

you're laughing

i know guys who drive their bike like that, with a vise-grip on the cable, and pull that to throttle

dangerous as hell

I know. I too know someone who already drove a car like that.

i forgot to post, but the car is finished.

of course first the dash had to go in

rebuild the outside
pic83.jpg

in the process 'forgetting" to install foglights to get better airflow to the engine, and make some additional holes in grill so radiator catches more wind
pic84.jpg

then to "carglass" (company that puts windows in cars) and a day later, car is at his driveway
pic85.jpg

looks good, doesn't it? but there are some things that don't work
-rear whipers
-rear window heating
-heating exterior mirrors
-cigarette lighter
-dash lightning
-board computer (so he doesn't know how many petrol he has left, PITA)
and all fuses are still OK. might have to redo the wiring for a part, won't be that easy to reach behind the dash with front window already in place :(

but still lots of work to do:
-rust on hood
-rust on sideskirt
-new brakes
-new suspesion
-install some ICE

oh yeah, and rebuild the engine of the gray renault.
in the mean time, one of my friends got hired by a dude who does nothing else that revision of engine
so now i have a friend working as carrosier, one as generally car mechanic and one as revisionist of engines. nice

Niiiice :)

^yep

that's to cool down the exhaust

(and it cool when you're at the lights, to see the heat comming out of it)
