Pagani Zonda

I want one...

That's so a stock photo. And a starting bid of 20k pounds? And listing it for a boyfriend?

I smell a scam.

Oh, and moved to General Automotive.

Maybe she's not really selling it for her boyfriend, but he cheated on her and she's selling it out of spite. Like that Lotus Espirit some radio DJ's wife sold for a pence because the DJ said on the air he would leave his family to be with some supermodel. Remember that?

Or, it's probably just a scam.

Zero feedback, no reserve...

I'm sure it's scam.

Mmm I'll take one, but not this one, its most likely a scam.

Yeah. I'm always somewhat sceptical of expensive cars on eBay. Come on, your telling me that you can afford a Zonda, but need to save money by selling it yourself online. :p

Something tells me they can't make these things fast enough so if you wanted to sell one (especially a newish one like this) then all you would have to do is call a prestige motor trader and they could "move" it for you in a week or so.

Hell I've seen Zonda's auctioned at Christies in their "exceptional motor vehicle" auction.

Car is in London and can be viewed before bidding.

Come on, somebody in London e-mail them and ask to see it. I would if I was there. But then again they will probably lead you into a dark alley or warehouse and you would never be seen again.

And as for the Ford GT, lets just say that I love being able to check the sellers (and buyers) previous auctions.

Like you have someone bidding for a Ferrari F-430 and you look at their past buys and it has been used business shirts or something for 3 pounds each.

It seem the seller of the Ford GT has alot of positive feedback for their previous auctions...of toy Mini's, used CD's and a couple of scalped concert tickets. So I'm sure they have moved up in the world to buying and selling rare exotic sportcars!

All of those auctions only bring one phrase to my mind "caveat emptor", latin for "let the buyer beware".

I love how really stupid people throw around latin phrases in the hope of appearing intelligent...

Cum grano salis :p

Hu ? I never even had latin but my bets are that it translates into "With a grain of salt"

Go, go, Google power! :p

I knew that that this might come up. All the years of Latin courses and some Euro bastard guessed it just like that. Life's a bitch. :p
