Finally about to make the jump and get a proper wheel for the PC. I'd like to be able to get something that I`can use on the PC and the PS2.

The DFP would be the choice in a perfect world but at around ?125 it's a touch expensive for me ...

Does the Driving Force wheel work with the PC ? It's only about ?60 on Amazon ?

On Ps2 I'll mostly be playing GT3, GT4, WRC games etc ..

PC will be Racer D1 Mod, Want to start playing LFS and GT Legends etc ...

I'd go to a local store and try it out.
IIRC, when I did, that wheel felt rather flimsy, so I doubt it would last that long.

the driving force is nowhere near as good as the dfp...
the DFP is only 80? in germany.

i bought it for a little over 100 a year ago, though. and it is definately worth it. especially for LFS or GT4, where you can really use that 900? rotation which makes driving games so much more fun (in my opinion...).
it hs also better built quality, with ball bearings...there is a reason for the difference in price between the two. if you get the DF and you enjoy racing sims, then you will probably soon want to get a decent wheel...
i'd suggest to look for an online shop that sells the DFP for a good price or look for the new driving force, which is supposedly a bit upgraded.

The PS2 version of the Driving Force wheel will work on the PC, you just have to install the right drivers from the PC version to get it to work, and the wheel buttons/D-pad won't work.

there are PC drivers for it?? i've been using the driving force (NOT pro) on the PC to play f1 challenge. the pedals, buttons and steering itself does work, what doesn't is the force feedback.

where can i find these drivers? they seem not to be available on the logitech website.

just download the logitech gaming software. it includes drivers for all their wheels (all pc wheels and the DF/DFP that is).

The new Logitech SL mentioned doesn't have 900? turning... I don't use the 900? mode anyway, I set it to 450?... I would buy the DFP again...

I never needed drivers for the DFP and the Dpad and all the buttons work for me in most of the games... At least they do in LFS and GTR and GT Legends Demo...

Any advantage for the PC drivers??

do you set the rotation via dxtweak then?

the logitech wingman software is much esier to use, allows you to finetune force feedback, adds a resistance if you limit the rotation, allows you to have different profiles for different games (i have 720? for LFS and 540? for RBR for maximum realism) and i have for example mapped the F9, F10, F11 and F12 screens in LFS to the triangle button, so i can cycle through them easily and i have mapped the square to teamspeak for "pit radio". ;)
i would definately recommned it if you don't use it already.

Well, then I should give it a try, I suppose;-)
