A short hop over the alps...

...down to Lake Como...

...and into the crowd.

Quite a mass of people made it actually hard to take pics of the cars...

But anyway, just some awesome stuff...

...from the silly...

...over to the hilarous...

...back to the dignified.

BMW is the main sponsor of this event, no wonder they dominate the area, indoors...

and outdoors.

Speaking of BMW, this 1970 BMW Turbo was one of my personal favourites.

Let's walk over to the prototype area:

...here we have among others the Bentley Speed 6

...the Lamborghini Asterion LP 910-4

...which I think is a bit overdesigned at the back...
2015-05-24_So_-_Cernobbio__179_.JPG

...the crazy Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 003...

...and the Zagato ?Mostro?, some sort of retro styled Maserati.

Part 2/2

On the other side of the park was the Sotheby's tent with all sorts of goodies waiting to be auctioned off, especially that yellow Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione which went for ?9.1m later on:

But I found this Ferrari 212 even more awesome.

The same goes for this slick 512 BB. Oh yes!

288 GTO, F40, Enzo, F50 and many more

One of the great things about such events is the fact that you get surprised by cars you knewer knew about. This BMW V8 for example:

It's a one-off that never went into production

Another great thing about this event is the fact that it's not just a static display:

Just awesome:

------------

Was a great day, and to get up-close and personal with the cars is such a different experience as looking at them in a dark museum while standig behind barriers. - I will be there again next year, that's for sure.

BTW here's another photo report, there are more pics of the yellow Pegaso. God, that car is ridiculous!
