Hi,

Having a wee problem with CS2. Everytime I click "File" it drops down but all the items are greyed out, It takes Ten to Fifteen re-opens ofthe File list to get the commands to appear ?

Also sometimes, None of the tools work at all. The mouse cursor remains as a cursor rather than changing to say the healing tool or crop tool etc... and has no effect onthe image I'm working on...

Any Idea's?

I'm having the same problems with CS, but just installed CS2 and hopefully all will go smooth.

Other way around for me, CS worked fine.

But everytime I browse my personal folder to open something. If I switch to Thumbnail View it just completly and instantly shuts down with saving anything ? This was happening in both CS and CS2 ?

That would probably had to do with thumbnail options, but I might be wrong...

Wassup. I was having the same problem for about two weeks or so. I think it was due to using " Windows Blinds " or some other Visual thingies in Windows. If you guys are running these utilities, I would suggest that you unload these and try again.

There is also the possibility that your CS2 might be corrupted. i will do more search about it and post it soon.

But it only happens in the one Folder ...

Then the folder must be in a bad sector of the disk or might be corrupted. Sometimes files are corrupted too.

^ if you still want to have a customized windows appearance i'd suggest "UXTheme Multi-Patcher (Neowin Edition) 2.5.1"its something like windows blinds but much better. you run the patch once, and thats it. then you download themes which you copy to the windows themes folder, right click on desktop, properties, appearance and you chose your theme. there are gazillion of themes for this on deviantart.com ;) never crashes your computer, and there's no program running at the background ;)

i was running windows blinds as well, but there used to be a discussion about this in the technicals section and someone suggested this there. didnt regret my decision to change :)
