Ownership Verified: Picked up Another Mustang

Bought this one at an insurance auction. It's a 1993 LX, 4-cylinder 5-speed.

I started tearing into it and it seems that either the outer tie rod failed or the nut that retains the wheel backed off. Not sure which happened first. Though the cotter pin that holds the nut on the spindle was just chunks.

I did get it started, but the floor behind the pedals is pushed up right behind them. So you can't move the pedals.

It'll be interesting to see it on all four wheels and see if it out of square.

Looking at the car a bit more today, its tweaked, badly. I'm going to put a spindle/rotor/hub on in it, beat the floor out and see how drives. It may end up donating its rust free bits to the rusty SVO.

Hard to tell, but that's a Drag Radial on the left front. Still can't drive it. The floorboard is pushed up against the pedals. I think this one is a goner. It's going to help save the SVO though, so it will die a noble death (at the hands of a Sawzall).
