plans for invasion...Canada and France

OH PLZ, talk about attention.

You two fuckin post whores having a damn convo between you

And as for people coming to the states and not France: hey, it's not a comparison - game those people are playing ...

It's very easy to sit in your own country saying "my country is better than these and those" when you haven't even been to - nor lived in another country in example Europe (or any other country/continent for that matter)
This guy HAS done this, and has an easier to make his "choice" - since he has "seen" both ...

fear of the new is mostly based on ignorance ...

I'd like to see you go abroad for some time Justin, I think you'll see things much clearer ...

Things arent always black or white

I have been to different countries but mainly in the carribean and the farthest ive been was Hawaii so I guess I cant speak from experience.

Europe is farther from me so its not like I can hop in a car and do an american version of meet the neighbours.

And as far as going abroad to "see things more clearer" what do you mean by that?

Do you want me to see the lovely anti-americanism? What could I see that would make me like you, a worldly man that you are?

Id like to visit Europe but if you think its gonna change me into some socialist that would not vote for a "war-monger" like Bush then you are just wasting ur time.

And what the fuck does, "fear of the new" mean?

Im soo scared of new ideas.

In closing, I truely believe that America is the greatest nation today, best country in the world. It is far from perfect but I see no better place to be.

The best country or empire of all time in my opinion would be the British empire during the 1800s followed closely by the Roman Empire.

I'm glad you asked.
Ok, if you live in one enviroment your whole life, how can you know the world actually looks like if you've only seen it from ONE side?!?!

I remember after living in the states, Spain and UK I was able to see things from different views and I wasn't so quick to decide and make up my mind on what I thought of the matter, I guess I was enlightened! I dunno how else to explain it to you. I think you would understand by going abroad for a long period. And by that, I'm not talking about vacations in the carribean..... I'm meaning involve yourself into the new language, the culture and just the everyday life! I've done it so many times and know it's good for everyone.

I shoulda said (ignorance is based on) "fear of the unknown" - it's basically the DEFENITION of ignorance .... can't really talk your way outa that one Justin ... (OR: the lack of knowledge or education) which results in fear of exactly that. Like amercians thinks every muslim is a terrorist and a threat to them no matter what. ..... ignorance!

You are an idoit. You are making dumb generalizations. You are from worldly and Im not either but I live in one of the worlds most divers cities, NYC.

EVEN IF I stayed here all my life Id still have diverse experience. You obviously have not visited NYC. You would know by taking a subway alone you will encounter all walks of life.

I agree, but whats your point?

You almost assume that I have this rigid view or "ignorance" that has to be cured or evolve from my narrow way of thinking. :?

Like amercians thinks every muslim is a terrorist and a threat to them no matter what. ..... ignorance!

When 2900 people die because of Muslim extremists it will cause some fear of the unknown and prejudice towards regular law abiding citizens but if you think ALL americans are ignorant towards Islam or are afraid of Muslism then you are sadly mistaken.

That stupid poll in the other thread is nothing to go by, it doesnt prove your point for one major reason, 44% is not the majority. So if that poll reflects the nations feelings then 66% of americans dont want to restrict muslims, ok ;)

Justin you don't get the point, even though you see different people, you can't get out of your country and look at it from the outside to compare.

You should get some philosophy classes, that's about the only interesting thing I've learned so far.

 :? :? :?

re-phrase that please. ;)

Philosophy as oppose to anthropology, sociology, or a cultural class?

I see I am speaking with someone who knows what they are talking about :bangin:

I completely understood what he said and I agree with him.

He is saying you need to learn to look at things objectively - in other words, understanding and empathizing with the view point of others is more important than being stubbornly set in your ways. Belive me, you will learn a lot if you attempt to do this.

The problem is that most of you oppose my view and opinion so you make these statements about how Im not open minded or blah blah blah.

Give me a perfect example of how I am stubborn on a subject.

You're too stubborn to admit you're stubborn.

no spam please. I asked a serious question and would like a serious answer.

Wow, that's an easy one. Where do I start.... social assistance, the 'War on Terror', American colonialism, Iraq...

And I do not say that just because I disagree with you on those topics, I just have not seen any empathy or understanding from you on the view points of people in other countries or of other social groups.

Haz I enjoyed reading your post and readig Justin's reply to it was just
as expected. Calling you an idiot, using that old technique of attack
when you're loosing :D

Hehe, living in a city with many ethnic groups doesn't make you
a world-known man Justin...

Haz' points are just to true here. Personally I've been to the U.S,
England, Italy, France, Greece and all of my neighbour countries and
it definatly makes you look different at things. I wish to be able to
go to Africa and Asia in the future as well. (maybe my hate for anim?
will go away? )

you make it so easy for me and the rest of the forum when you brainfart so much as you do Justin :)

Forum VS Justin ring a bell??!!

Continue taking the subway, and expecting it to fullfill your "wide" perspective on things.

ARE YOU SERIOUS ???? Who're YOU calling an IDIOT??

As I said, you make it so easy for me, it's not even worth it ... When EVERYONE disagrees with you, isn't that a sign???

Justin said:

"When 2900 people die because of Muslim extremists it will cause some fear of the unknown and prejudice" ---> The muslim extremists you reffer to make up ca. 0,5% of all muslims around the world.
Lets judge them all, is what you're saying ... can't be safe nowhere

You're such an ignorant little fart Justin. Time to wake up AND SMELL THE FISH !!!!!!!!!!

Anime sucks.

And I blame the Americans for it.

Because they nuked the Japanese and the radiation screwed the Nippons up enough to make them come up with such rubbish. ;)

And guys...the name-calling we can do without...

And guys...the name-calling we can do without...

I have to take shit from fools that manipulate my words or assume things based on a few sentences I make. The same people that may believe I have a wrong way of thinking just because its different from theirs.

They say they've been to all these countries but all their opinons are just about the same. Like out of a factory assembly line, socialist...socialist...socialist... or...Bush is bad...Bush is bad...Bush is bad, or Make love not war...Make love not war...Make love not war. I guess different countries have REALLY expanded their way of thinking, wow radical stuff guys

Ill answer Zenon in msn, we can talk it all out there. Im done here. I get somewhere talking to you. I'll explain why im not so empathetic as you feel I should be.
