Heres the fully story: Porsche Cayenne Compact Version and First Restyling

No matter what they make it look like, it's still the worst thing to come from Porsche.

yeah, but my wife and i decided if we ever have kids, and one of us is gung ho about getting a mini van or something shitty like that, the other should immediately go out and get a Cayenne Turbo. Certainly, it is an SUV, but it is one that will pulverize many a "sports car" on the track.

Cayenne Turbo = only allowable SUV/minivan/SAV/shit mobile

the first two are definately chops, the actual one looks a little bit better than the current. more agressive, but still a little bit awkward.

Looks like it has Down Syndrome :?

Doesn't matter how it performs, it's just a car looking like an SUV. I wonder if the Panarama will be a lowered version of this :bangin:

i think its a bit of an improvement on the black one....the sliver one...ugh :|

I have nothing constructive to say about this automotive monstrosity at all.

Agreed that the first 2 are photoshops, and I actually prefer the old styling. This new style is way more ugly.

Yeah the first two are actually chops of the "Cayenne Compact". Good thinking Porsche. Another useless car to flood the market with. Soon they'll do the Cayenne Convertible.

Theres one parked outside my house...hideous :puke:

The "Cayenne Compact" is gonna be useless though. As it is, rear legroom in the normal one is quite limited.

I still can't believe Porsche has an SUV. :yucky:

WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO!!!! :yucky: :bangin:

and 7 years ago no one could believe they were going to water cool the 911.

Think of it this way. without the cayenne, porsche would most likely NOT be an independent car manufacturer anymore. while i dont like SUVs, this vehicle is producing the majority of revenue for Porsche

its not completely unheard of, think about the Lambo LM002. sure this isnt anywhere near as cool as that, but Lambo had no rally race experience or anything and still doesnt. But its a Lamborghini SUV, think about it. whats so weird about the cayenne when compared to this.

My point is that is gets us closer to a Ferrari SUV.

As far as revenue, why not build the 4 door sedan that they will build by 2009? (They should have built that before the Cayenne or implace of the Cayenne) That would not have tainted Porsche as much as the Cayenne, which is fairly common.

And that would be a Very. Bad. Thing.

I don't understand the styling of the Porsche Cayenne. The first one, they looked at the current 911, copied all of that up until the back slope starts, then added a generic 4x4 back end [identical to the VW Touareg's].

It's just a 911 on massive stilts, at least from the front. Then they thought "uhoh, there's a massive empty gap between the road and the 911-on-stilts beginning", so they plonked in some sillily large grilles and suchlike.

And it's fugly as heck. And it still is, even in the restyling.

Now, I can understand Porsche having to build it for the sake of keeping in the red. But having an entirely blank piece of paper, why trace the 911?

Porsche have shown they can make very pretty and desirable objects. The original 911, for exanple. The 924. The boxster [apres-facelift]. So why ruin it with the lump-o'-shite that is what the Cayenne looks like?

I blame the Porsche Cayenne on the American desire for 4x4s, due to their popularity. And consequently, through a leap of logic not even the universe's finest minds can understand, it is George Bush's fault.
