@Dr_Grip That castle/hotel looks amazing. Worthy of a visit?
Definitely! It's actually a purpose-built castle-style hotel, but unlike a 2000s "fake castle" built from drywall, this one's been in constant operation as a hotel since 1906, meaning it actually is old enough to feel like a proper old building, fakery or not.

Upsides:
  • Amazing Chef. I am not that much into fine dining, but @_Jules_ claims the cooking's on par with one Michelin star restaurants (the Guide Michelin does not do eastern Europe, though)
  • The pastry chef is equally great and the bar is stocked well, so even outside dinner the hotel is set up to cater to all of your needs
  • Private sauna you can book by the hour
  • Amazing location right at the beachside, I guess the terrace must be a great place to dine on warm summer nights
  • Reasonable-priced even if you go all in like us and get a suite
Downsides:
  • There is no Spa area, no indoor pool, no whirlpool
  • It's quite a drive from anywhere that is civilization and not Gdansk
  • A lot of sights and facilities like the Nazi/Soviet rocket test site nearby, most restaurants, and even shops in town are closed during the off-season
