Great car apart from the semi-random gearbox; you could only go from 2nd to 3rd via 4th...

My first car was a

When the damper mounts on that evaporated in a rust cloud, I got one of these:

That shall be a Renault Megane from the driving school. :)

My first drive was once in a driveway in my mum's old XE Ford Falcon (1984 model). My first proper drive (in a paddock), was my dad's manual 1973 Toyota Corona (aged 13).

My first drive on the road since I got my L's (at 16, 2000) was either in my dad's '88 Nissan Pulsar, or my mum's EA Falcon (1989), not sure which, but I think it was the Pulsar (which was a manual).

Golf I bitch :D

Vauxhall Viva from the driving school.

I failed in it and I only retook my test 10 years later in a Honda Quintet (5 door hatch, 1602 engine) - I loved that car, don't know why. It finally had to be scrapped 13 years later when it rusted to pieces, and even the chap up the garage who had welded a Triumph Acclaim wheel arch to the rear near side rust to get it through the MOT (annual road worthyness test) a couple of years before said that he could do no more, 140,000 miles of completely fault free motoring...I am still sad about it.

Ended up going about 10 feet and realized Crusin USA was not realistic at all  (did not mash the petal)

No one else would let me borrow a car to learn to drive, so 5 years later I learned to drive it in a parking lot.

Now i have my beloved Subaru Legacy!
