3rd round interview through Skype tomorrow with Johnson&Johnson. Job is design engineer for surgery devices. Seems very interesting, and I have a good feeling about it. There might be sponsored Ph.D studies with them in the future too!

Though if I take it, it means I'll get further away from my Aerospace/Aerodynamics dream... hmm

I just passed a test that measures my ability to speak Swedish. It is a part of bachelors degree, and I was quite stressed whole autumn because of that test, as I have not been that good in Swedish.

Now that it is passed I'll most likely obtain my bachelors degree in few months. YES!

Congrats! Do you know where you'll be going in China?

Beijing. Things could still change until March, but it's really looking like I'll be part of that trip :)

Reminds me of my Swedish test. Minimum points to pass was 40. I got 42.

Dudes, Swedish skills matter in Finland. If you happen to end up in the two-three towns in which you will actually need it, that is. :p

I have been granted a scolarship to finish writing my Ph.D thesis. That makes me a paid, full-time philosopher starting January, 1st.

Well you better come up with some ground-breaking new way of looking at the world then. :p
I think for some people the mere existence of a "paid philosopher" is a world-shattering concept in itself, so that should be enough already. :D :p

Congrats not-yet-Doc! ;) Is the scolarship really "till completion of Ph.D. thesis" or rather a fixed term in which you expect to finish?

Mixture of both. It am expected to turn my thesis in in August and am paid until then - but an extension for a few months more is more a technicality than a problem.
