Nice set up Magnet!

My desk is, well, a LITTLE messy. But I do suppose the whole room is in a bit of a mess.

The 2 TVs are both there because we haven't got anywhere to put the old 14" CRT shitbox. When that goes, my 32" HDTV will take its place, finally be connected up to my computer, allowing me to have an awesome 2nd monitor. The PS2 also is waiting to go with my sister to university. So it sits alone whilst the PS3 gets all the attention.

EDIT: Even my computer chair is knackered. Its missing its back and falling apart. Great.

EDIT 2: Come on. Now THAT wins the 'messiest work station' award. Suckers.

Umm...... I think your Laptop might be slightly broken......

Hey Magnet, how did you get your monitor to be the primary setup there? I'm trying to do the same with my lappy on a new widescreen monitor I found at my dad's workplace. I've got a docking station that supports video as well.

I just switched it do just using the external monitor. Unforunately, if I try using both monitors, and use the latop as the primary, then the external monitor resolution stuffs up. I don't want to switch the external monitor to primary and the laptop as secondary, because that brings you a whole world of pain when you unplug the external!

Besides, the external monitor is big enough.

What video card you have on that laptop? I have a similar setup (laptop hooked to LCD tv) and with the nvidia tools, you can set the displays to have different resolutions.

It's an ATI Radeon. I'm sure there are solutions, I just wasn't too concerned in the end. I didn't really need that extra screen.

There are some disgusting sights to be seen here. WoW players perhaps?
Anyway, here's my desk.

I don't think he wants to tell you that.

UPDATE!

We spent today cleaning out the playroom. And also moved my TV onto its new table, and connected it up to my PC.

People I give you the 32" HDTV Secondary Monitor!

I have yet to play CS on it, as I don't have a wireless keyboard and mouse, so i can't sit on the sofa. And the wires aren't long enough.

Chew on that!

^ Couldn't help but notice your Logitech Z5500. Is it worth it? How easy was it to set up? Any advice on others if not the Z5500?

Thx

It packs great value for money (heavy bass, very loud) and it's as easy as it could get. However, don't expect HI-FI quality from it. I only use it for movies and gaming, it's not too good for music since the bass is too loud and the speakers lack finesse. But for the 300 euros mine has cost me, I don't complain.
Some annoyance is the poor shielding of the amplifier which causes loud noises when something happens on the electricity network (like the fridge which turns on or closing the lights). But not everybody has this problem.
I think creative has some very decent units as well.
