I think he's opened a new toolbar entirely. Go to your documents and create a folder. Inside it, put whatever icons you want and then right click the taskbar and click 'new toolbar'. Then select that folder you created with all the shortcuts you want inside it.

Almost. I fiddled about trying to figure it out...

Unlock your task bar, right click on it and select Toolbar->Links (or something like that, mine's in French) then drag and drop shortcuts to programs you want in it and rearrange in the order that you like. By right clicking on the taskbar again, you can select between small or large icons and to show title or not.

It's neat but I like a slim taskbar.

Bingo! But I can hide my taskbar, so nothing shows unless I mouse over it.

I use Object dock's fly out menu for the "large icon of whatever programs i want".


Do you guys use winblinds or something ot customize the looks for the task bar/start button?


On the note of widgets, dont forget you can run all those widgets in the background and not have them show up unless you press F8. It's like that on a mac too(f12 or some other key)

I'll see if i can screen shot my background widgets for you guys, it's pretty cool.
