I got a leather NATO strap for my SNK809 from Crown & Buckle. I'm really happy with it!

I got a package in the mail today!!!

(Please disregard the upside down watch in the top left corner of the first picture. That's an automatic movement BVLGARI I found. Its upside down because the rear case is currently open, and I need to take jeweler with a watch case press to close it. It was on a microfiber optical cloth, but I was using it to clean my new Xen.)

(And yes, I have a small wrist)

Treated myself to this TW Steel as a late Christmas/Birthday present.

I had to take this last one with my phone because I couldn't hold my camera in my left hand.

Just realized I never posted my watch. This is what I wear everyday. Had it for at least 4 years so its fairly beat up but the crystal is still perfect. It's an Invicta, don't remember the model. I also have a black leather band for it. 38 mm without crown.

I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I can't stop smiling right now :)

Last week I posted in the Random Thoughts thread about taking a risk in buying something on eBay from a seller with 0 feedback. Well...UPS delivered my item today, and it's in mint, perfect condition, exactly as described.

I'll take pictures of the actual watch later (I'm at work), but this is the model:

10032-1-1.jpeg

Citizen Eco-Drive, Perpetual Calendar, Chronograph, Radio Controlled...the lot.

MSRP: $599
On sale at Amazon and eBay stores: ~$365

What I paid for mine...slightly used, but the seller was honest - not a single scratch, basically looks brand new...my winning bid was
$167.50

I've scored some good deals in the past, but DAYM this was a good one!

Speaking of Citizen Eco-Drive and eBay...

Was at a jewelers the other week to have them look at my new found BVLGARI BB33SS and I saw this...

Its totally blacked out and really sexy. eBay price is about $250. This is most likely going to be my next watch purchase.

Model number AR3015-53E if anyone is interested.

When we were in London, at the British Museum, my dad bought me this:

The numbers are in Cuneiform.
I love it to bits, despite the fact that I have to pause sometimes to work out the time. I'm getting used to it now, and it's something interesting to talk about with my friends.

My recent acquisitions...

Seiko SNKK13K1...

IMG_0028_8x6.jpg

Which I sometimes wear on a leather strap...

SNK807...

Jacques Lemans Capri...

Just for fun (and because I got it dirt cheap), an Invicta Vintage...

IMG_0033_8x6.jpg

...and another Timex, just because I like it. Also put it on a leather strap.

IMG_0036_8x6.jpg

Still have my late grandfather's old Citizen...

IMG_0029_8x6.jpg

...and the Timex my dad gave me back in the 70's.

Vintage Timexes for the win. That gold Seiko is amazing, and we should start an SNK809 Owner's Club at this rate. The Seiko 5 is the best excuse for an automatic watch under $100 in the world.

It's a clock... you tell the time the same was as with a clock with a blank face. Not like it's going backwards or has a 24 hour face. Although a clock like that would be cool.

Thanks! Agreed about the 5's, and I plan on getting at least one more. The SNK793 is the next on my list. I've got a thing for blue-face watches, for some odd reason. I hope to pick up a vintage Lord Marvel when I'm in Japan later this year. Just like this one:

I like Seiko, but I do not like the Seiko 5...it's their bargain based, value series, but IMO it should not carry the hallowed name Seiko. They should be part of the Pulsar series.

Yeah, I know, but sometimes it throws me. Like if someone asks me the time and I get distracted by looking at the symbols. Not normally a problem, but once or twice it made it look like I couldn't tell the time very well.

I think it would be really fun to have a backwards clock. I saw one once, but it was in New Zealand and we couldn't carry it back home. :(

Does anyone here have a backwards clock?
