Movie: Prequel for The Thing (1982)

So it seems there's a prequel(?!?!) to The Thing which is a movie I really really loved as a kid.

I'm really really hoping it won't be crap and by the trailer it seems they tried to make it PG-13 or something cause you really can't see anything. Here's hoping this'll be good and not a crap movie cause I really have a soft spot for The Thing.

My thoughts exactly. Without John Carpenter I fear this will be a sub par horror flick leaching off the greatness of the 1982 movie.

And to think of all the potential they had - continuing the once, and still, great story.

I saw the thing at a friend's house when I was 10, it freaked me the hell out. Same with the video game.
