Besides these silly taunts or the idea that Iraq is a "mistake" there is really nothing anyone can say about Bush. The Democrats are undermining the war on Terror because they dont want Bush or Republicans to succeed, even if that means saving American lives.

Why? They want to be in control of congress and the White House. They put their own priorities ahead of the ppl that elected them.

That is far worse than some silly things or mis-pronounciations Bush has said.

What's sad is that most developed nations don't meet their obligations under the OECD to provide a certain percentage of their GNP as aid.....Maybe things have changed now.

But that's just how this happens normally. Tied-Aid just works like that, but in the short term this is an improvement for the countries who recieve the money, and not to forget for the American economy as normally the countries are then forced to buy products from the US. But this help reduces the level of starvation, so even if the economic development is small, there are still some benefits. For both sides.
The US has to reduce the deficit on the current account, which can be done by tied aid, so this would have happened under every given president.

sure ... give them some pocket change ... I sometimes wonder if the US has forgotten their huge foreign dept? I think it's good they donate money, that has nothing to do with their foreign dept ... just made me think of it ..

What I meant is, just because you're intelligent, doesn't mean you're smart! I know for fact Bush is intelligent, but I also know for fact he not very smart! See there's a difference ... Hitler was intelligent, but not very smart (with no correlation between the two whatsoever, just an example) Being smart, is how you use your own intelligence! I think for instance Ghandi was smart, and Nelson Mandela as well!
