prob: I do the normal way to dl files off the site, you know, right click save as, then open the torrent via the bit torrent prog I use (I've even tried both bit comet and shareaza) but it only says: non valid torrent file or something ...

can someone try dl any file off suprnova (cuz the torrents off this site works fine) and open it with your bit torrent prog, and see what happends?

Would be greatly appreciated mates :)

(I want two files: "Inside The Actors Studio - The Simpsons" and "Dodgeball", which I can't find elsewhere ...)

thx guys!

Don't right click -> save target as. You'll get an .htm file I believe. Just left click.

no, I tried that. That only opens my DivX player, and says unvalid mpeg file or something. Besides, when I do right click and save on my desktop, it IS a Torrent file, not a .htm file (that I would see)

It says: "can't decode"

THX ALOT for the effort.

Let click opens your DivX player? Then you have something really wrong with your file associations.

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling your BitTorrent client (BitComet and Shareaza). That would be easier than fighting with file association settings, but other than that I'm not sure what else to suggest.

I use Suprnova on a very regular basis and have never had any problems (my client is ABC).

fuck i get the same shit too.

not the divx coming up but htm icon on desktop instead of torrent file.

If it is Windows XP or 2000 you should be able to get the right association back fairly easily.

-Find a .torrent file that you have downloaded or just open notepad and save as and type out the file name with a .torrent extension.

-Browse to the file, right click on it and choose the option Open With.

-If you do not see the torrent app in the list click browse and open the .exe file for the app. (should be c:\program files\[torrent app folder]\.exe for the application)

-After clicking ok check the box for "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"

Should be good to go after that.

Prob fixed:

I dldd the Mozilla Firefox browser, and when I just clicked the link at suprnova.org for the file I wanted, my new bowser took care of it all - and started looking for seeders directly from the Shareaza prog :)

Me is in looove with my new browser

^ Yet another reason to choose Firefox. Get Firefox. Now! :p

Meh, FireFox sucks.

You better say Mozilla. If you like IE more than Firefox....

I also could not live without tabbed browsing, but the thing I really like about Firefox, is it actually interpets HTML code properlly. IE does nothing but perpetuate poorly written websites.

wait back on topic.

i cant get suprnova to work either when i left click it gives me a page that says something like "not a suprnova mirror" or something like that. i tried to disable all firewalls but i still got that

I can no longer stand using IE - it sucks in comparison - mainly due to all the evil adware threats really. I just think that Firefox is superior :)

Tabbed browsing is where instead of opening separate windows, like IE, it is all opened under the same window, just on different tabs. I've never really liked the idea, it was the one major downfall with Opera in my op. But now that I have Firefox, I'll never complain again

yep, Firefox imports all of your IE settings favorites, cookies, history, etc. definately a good browser.
