PSP owners I need help

haha, funny stuff

Hope that disinfectant did the trick!

Who wants to teach me how to Homebrew the PSP? :)
(If its possible with a 32mb Memory Stick)

Is it the old PSP, or the new "slim" one?

I have a pandora battery I can send to you if you have a slim unit-- they cannot change the eeprom in the battery.

You need something bigger than the 32mb card-- they recommend using 1GB+ due to the need to backup the main flash of the unit.

Its the older one, but thanks Quick.

I was hoping I could just do a Homebrew test run on the 32mb stick until I get a bigger one. If I can't get an 8gb cheap enough I'll go for a 4 instead.

First of all, what firmware do you have? DON'T upgrade it. Some of the latest versions can't be modded to custom firmware.

I can teach you but i if you intend on planning games on the PSP you DONT need a enormus memory Card!!!
So you dont have to waste your money. You can do it with a USB connected to the computer.

Then does any of your friends have a Custom Filmwared PSP?

And I highly suggest that you watch these videos.
These videos are made by zzk2001 so any credit goes to him

Yeah, but who wants to bring a PC with them everywhere they go? The whole point of a PSP is that it's portable.

That is the latest firmware. At this point in time you cannot install custom firmware or play Homebrew on a 3.95 PSP unless you have a Pandora Battery.

If you had older firmware, it would be easier, but you'll just have to get your hands on a Pandora Battery such as Quiky offered.

wtf

Isn't there a way to restore it to factory settings?

Unfortunatly no. :(
You restore the settings but not the filmware.

Oh yes im sorry I was thinking about me. As I do not travel much Im always near my computer. So I use the USB to play games which are higher than 900MB. (I only got a 1gig)

Since the PSP was free I might just suck it up and find a couple used games to live with. I just wish there was a way to get a better internet browser.

What do you mean a better interent browser? (I dont use that mine much as I dont have WIFi around me.)
I know the flash sucks but what else?

I don't think the browser can be much better on the PSP, it has very limited memory and processing power.

As for the Pandora battery, that's the way I installed custom FW, but I bought an off the shelf version by Datel, called the Tool Battery.

I have IRShell on my PSP too, and the Applecor Mac XMB mod, so it looks very nice. I also bought the camera when it was first sold in the UK, pretty good until I bought a camera phone.

Just the fact that it runs out of memory almost immediately, anything other than a forum almost always fails to load.

A big memory stick is probably the best investment for a PSP. Running games off your memory stick is not only cheaper, but it's more convenient, and it consumes less power as well and doesn't have that annoying UMD noise. A 4 gig stick is pretty much the price of a single game! Three games (Gran Turismo 2, Medal of Honor 2, GTA VCS for me) as well as some themes with 700 MB to spare sounds good to me...

Sounds good to me too, but if I can't mod it whats the point?

You CAN mod it. Just get your hands on a Pandora battery....

lol Your story is the same as me. I also used a Pandora Battery and my PSP's Camera got beaten by my N70 :)

One diffrence is I didn't buy the Pandora. I cracked my Original battery open. And now its back into a normal battery after the job is done:)
(I have a Xbox 360 Theme. I know its a PSP but I like its menu..scroll thing.)

Oh and Prost if you dont want to open your battery like I did you can buy one.
Here is a link I found for you.

Datel Tool battery for ?12.99 (Im not sure if thats expensive or not)
This is the same as Pandora Battery exept its named "Tool" Battery.
But if you checked out some videos from Youtube you will see that opening the battery is not that hard.

The brother-in-law's dad decided to call around some more and the creep 16 year old cartoon pornophile wants his PSP back.
