Thought I'd just say thanks to you guys for making Fifth gear and Top gear available.
It screens here but they cut lots of the show up to remove the competition etc.
Plus I don't have to wait for months to see the show.
Funny seeing an Aussie car called a vauxhall (monaro)...... shame you don't get the sedan/saloon version. They've increased the engine size from 5.7 to 6.0ltrs.....!!

Welcome! Another Australian...btw, where has AMG V12 Mercedes Ultra1!@!@!@@!!!!!!!!!!!! gone too, haven't seen him in a long time..

I'd like to add my thanks as well. I've been downloading for quite a while but have never gotten around to joining the forum.

As Graham said the episodes do screen here on pay tv but they are cut to shreads and way behind :(

Without this site I think I'd go mad!

They need to get the Falcon reviewed over there :)

Yea, I wonder what they would think of the FTP GTP or the F6

isn't the falcon basically the same as the commodore... just came back from melbourne and I love the falcon

They are both very simular, basically 6-cylinder rear-drive and extremely versatile. The Ford Falcon vs Holden Commodore is the subject of much argument here - you are either a Ford man, or a Holden man, or gay. It is commonly accepted that the current Falcon is slightly better then the Commodore, but there is not a lot in it to be honest. I feel silly however for buying a Ford Falcon from a Holden dealership :D

Aussie cars are some of the best value in the world imo.. you can get a brand new Commodore or Falcon with 175kw and 182kw respectively, lots of room and decent equipment for AU$35, 000 or so.

well... I'm going to be moving to melbourne to finish studying in june... maybe in a couple of months, I'll get the older commodore just to go around... somehow I've always loved holden after I saw one in real life

Im a Ford man, but I do own the only Commodore that I like (the VL)
I dont mind my car, it was cheap, relable and with a decent amount of power (compared to a shitty rice burner) but its also shown me that ill never buy a car like it again.
Its just too big and unsport like :(

I see loads of commodores every day as I'm based at the factory for work. The gloss wears off! Mind you you do get to see some pretty cool stuff.

I'm not really biased to Holden or Ford although my family would be what you'd call a "holden" family.

What do I drive? A Peugeot 206 GTi :D

The reason: I like both the XR falcons & SS, SV6 etc commodores and have taken some of them around a race track. At the moment they are just too big and dont meet what I want out of a car. They also tend to be slower on the twisty bits of road that I frequent in the pug

That said I'd seriously consider an XR-6 Turbo as it was a load of fun around the track.

there was one commodore with the diffuser... which one is that, I think it was some special edition, I really like that one
