Race of Champions this Sunday (Dec 14) at Wembley Stadium.

Here's hoping for a Schumacher v Loeb final. Nations Cup should be good too.

It's still 2008! ;)

Go Loeb!

Awesome. Can't wait for it! :D

I hope Mattias Ekstr?m defends his titel! He even begged Hamilton to race, because he wants to beat the racers out there!

Is Hamilton in it? I can't remember if he was or not.

Kovalainen coming back again?

<edit> According to the website, it would appear not. Damn McLaren and it's driver policies...:(

It clashes with the BBC Sports Personality of the Year so I think that's why Hamilton v Chris Hoy is one of the first events as they are both up for it.

Such epicness must be ripped and uploaded for my viewing pleasure. IT'S THE LAW!

Surprise live feed pops up!

Autosport.com to broadcast RoC live

Thursday, December 11th 2008, 16:43 GMT

For the first time in its 20-year history, the Race of Champions will be broadcast live on the Internet thanks to autosport.com.

The event, which takes place this Sunday, will see top drivers from several racing series battle wheel to wheel on a track purposely built inside Wembley Stadium.

Autosport.com, in partnership with Freecaster.tv., will broadcast the whole event live, with exclusive commentary by Bruce Jones and John Hindhaugh.

The webcast will go live on autosport.com from 13:50 GMT (14:50 CET) on Sunday.

Sorry for double-posting, but...

Injury forces Pastrana out of RoC

By Steven English Friday, December 12th 2008, 13:44 GMT

Travis PastranaTravis Pastrana has been forced to pull out of Sunday's Race of Champions after injuring himself in a Motocross accident in California earlier this week.

The American hurt his knee and hip when he fell and was run over by another rider.

"I was practicing on a Motocross track when I blew out my knee in a corner and was promptly run over by my fat friend Tommy," he said. "Laying in a heap of dust, the first thing I thought was at least I didn't fall off a golf kart!

"A close second was how much I'm going to miss all the crap talking and competitive camaraderie that is unexplainable for anyone who hasn't been a competitor at the Race of Champions.

"I'm bummed that I won't have a chance to race alongside Carl Edwards, I was really looking forward to going for the RoC Nations Cup."

Pastrana is the second driver to pull out of the event through injury following Mark Webber's broken leg two weeks ago. He will be replaced in the Team USA line-up by drift champion Tanner Foust.

Foust, who is also a co-host of Top Gear USA, is excited to be replacing Pastrana to make his Race of Champions debut.

"The investigation will reveal I had nothing to do with Travis' injuries," he joked. "Of course I wish him a speedy recovery and I'm honoured to have this opportunity to represent the USA alongside Carl Edwards on the world stage, racing against guys who are heroes to me."

Pastrana is confident that Foust will be able to do a good job in his place.

"I'm excited that Tanner is the one to take my place," added Pastrana. "Very few drivers can hold a candle to his car control and I think his all round driving background should benefit Team USA."

France (Loeb and Muller) or Germany (Vettel and Schuey) for Nations cup and hard to go past Loeb or Ekstrom for RoC

Go Kristensen! :)
... But, I'm pretty sure that Loeb takes it - that man has crazy skills at events like RoC.

Have been looking forward to this all week :)

By the way everyone can tune in for free and legally at PitPass.com for full live broadcast!

I want to watch it live, but that is really early in the morning, I will just wait for the usual RU source.

The draw is out for the ROC.

Jason Plato vs. Andy Priaulx
Tanner Foust (Team USA) vs. Jenson Button <- Jenson says "go back home you wannabe Top Gear host"
Troy Bayliss vs. Sebastian Vettel
Jaime Alguersuari vs. Carl Edwards (Team USA) <- Soooo, no Americans after round 1. Anyway...
Yvan Muller vs. Sebastien Loeb
