Mind you, we're talking Jordan, BAR, Prost and Arrows here. Not the creme de'la creme of F1. Still...pounding round Hockenheim...I do feel bad about the original circuit being a wood now.
I think they look faster cos they're lower, specially the back wing...
The cars are about the same speed, there are some tracks in which the 2001 cars were faster... in Catalunya for example, the pole was 1.7 seconds faster in 2001 compared to this year.

That just shows how much slower they were back then. The only reason they are close to todays times is that they have so much power, you only have to look at the videos to see how much slower the corner speeds are compared to today.
