The bad news: Some asshat backed into my Pathfinder yesterday and:
Bent the driver's side headlight protection hoop of the grille guard back -
Which made it make contact with the (recently replaced) corner light on that side, cracking it, and -
When they pulled away, they tweaked the lower fog light mount.
Then they drove off and didn't even leave a note.
The good news: I was able to fix all of it in about ten minutes with a prybar and set of vise grips, both of which I keep in the truck for field repairs. The only sign that anything ever happened to the truck is scratches that the other car left on the headlight hoop and the cracked corner light. Thank god I put that grille guard on, and thank you Nissan for making such sturdy aftermarket accessories.
The better news: I have a pretty good idea who the asshat was; his car hasn't been seen since yesterday. We'll see if it doesn't show up for a while or if it shows up with damage tonight. I have my cattle prod handy.
