Random Thoughts... [Automotive Edition]

:lmao:
I find it so stupid that most of the kids who choose automotive as their focus(I go to a vocational school) have no idea about cars, the difference between makes and models, how they work in at least a basic way, or how to work on them!

I encountered a few of them. I went to a two-year trade school to understand the general basics of how cars work, and about 30% of my class did not know the difference between a Honda and Toyota, and were not aware that the MINI brand even existed, let alone the slightly less basic knowledge that it is owned by BMW. Of course, most of that 30% failed the class (although I saw a couple of dunderheads somehow make it to graduation).

The kids that take the shop for an easy class are treated like little kids by the one who know about what they are doing and stick them to doing tedious tasks like tightening bolts and cleaning up. This leads to them complaining and getting reprimanded for disobeying the group leader's directions, it becomes very entertaining!

Personally I think motivational pictures are played out, but this one made me chuckle.

I just realized that I haven't seen a Lotus Esprit in ages. On average I see about one Elise/Exige a month, but the last time I saw an Esprit was probably 3 years ago.

I've never seen an Esprit... If anyone would like to buy me a white mk1, i'd be happy.

 At first, I thought it was standing by itself like that like it got stuck in a wheelie somehow, then I saw the ramp.

You can see that plate of metal on the ground SHOULD still be attached to the rest of that lift. At least it's not like they drive it off the edge...
